Gigging Easier

00:00:00
Clock In times how long you're actually on site and compares it with what the gig pays, so you can see which bookings are quietly under-paying you. If today's schedule has a gig, we'll ask which one you mean, then reopen it with the on-site times filled in when you clock out. Everything stays editable.

Gigs

Blocked Days

Days you're not taking bookings -- vacation, family, a night off. Blocked days never show as available when you share your availability. You can also tap any day on the calendar and block just that one.

Share Availability

Copy or share a plain-text list of your open dates, print/save it as a PDF, or hand out a live link that always shows your current openness. Booked and blocked days are left out either way.
Live link -- one link you hand out once; it always reflects your current open dates (for the next 60 days), no re-sending needed.

New Gig

Start sets the gig date. Add an end time to get an hourly rate. Tap either one to set it — a dialog opens with an explicit OK button, since there's no way to add one to the browser's own calendar popup. End defaults to Start's time as a head start if it isn't set yet.
Venue
Directions, the mileage lookup and the weather forecast all use the whole address, so the street is what makes those work.
People on this gig (optional)
Anyone involved besides the venue — a promoter, a booking agent, the sound engineer, a photographer. Add as many as you need; a gig doesn't have to have a promoter, and a promoter isn't tied to a venue. Names you've saved before fill in their own details, and anyone new is saved to Contacts.
Pay & details
What you were booked for, not necessarily actual time on site. Compared against on-site time to show whether a gig ran over, under, or on time. If left blank and this gig is on today's schedule, it fills in automatically from the gig's own scheduled hours when you clock out.
Show day (optional)
The hours of the evening that aren't the gig's start and end. These don't touch the money or the on-site clock — they're what you check on the way there.
Travel & stay (optional)
Most gigs are a drive away, so this stays shut until you need it. Anything you put a price on below is added to this gig's expenses automatically — enter it here or in the expense list, never both.
Getting there
Links, not uploads — paste the confirmation page the airline or hotel already emailed you. Nothing is copied onto our servers.
Expenses & gear
Build items and groups on the Gear tab, then add them here to pack for this gig.

Best Venues

Rate a gig's venue or promoter (on the New Gig form) to see how they stack up.

All Gigs

Business Expenses
Costs of running your business that aren't tied to one gig -- insurance, subscriptions, repairs, your website. They count toward your Tax Summary and your CSV export.
Tax Summary
Gig income, gig expenses, and business expenses together, for everything dated through today in the year you pick. A starting point for your accountant or tax software -- not tax advice.

Directory

Phone, email, and address are tap-to-open -- call, email, or map a venue, DJ, or promoter straight from here. Venue contacts here are also used to autofill the New Gig form.

Gear Library

Gear Groups

Bundle gear you always bring together, so a gig's checklist takes one tap instead of ten.

Settings

Everything that configures the app rather than a gig.

Your Name

Greets you on the Live tab and names your backup files — and, until you fill in Business details below, it's also the name your clients see on invoices, quotes, riders and your availability link.

Appearance

The accent colour used for buttons, tabs and highlights. Saved on this device, so a shared account can still look different on each person's phone.

Email Notifications

Sent to your account email. Each one only goes out when there's actually something to tell you -- no weekly "here's your week" filler.

Crew

Your business details (for invoices & quotes)
Shows at the top of every invoice and quote you print. Only fill in what you want clients to see.
Pay-now buttons · on invoices you send as a link
Fill in any you use. A client opening your invoice link gets a button for each, with the amount due already filled in. The money goes straight to you — Gigging Easier never touches it.
The card link is any https payment page you already have — a Stripe, Square or PayPal payment link. It can't fill in the amount, so the invoice shows it next to the button.
Defaults to the current IRS business rate -- bump it yourself whenever the IRS changes it.
Income types · the kinds of work you book
Every gig is tagged with one of these, and they're what your income breakdown and tax summary are grouped by. Rename or remove any you don't use, and add your own — teaching, production, photography, whatever you actually get paid for. Gigs already saved under a type you remove keep it.
Default rider · what every gig starts from
Write these once and every new gig's rider starts here -- you can still change any single gig's copy on the Rider card without touching these. Requirements only; this isn't a contract.
Default contract · your words, each gig's details
Write your standard agreement once. Every gig's contract starts from it with the date, venue, fee and deposit filled in for you, and you can change any single gig's copy on its Contract card. Gigging Easier fills in the blanks and adds signature lines; the terms are yours, so have them looked over by someone who knows the rules where you work.
Insert:
Press kit (EPK)
A public page you can send to promoters and talent buyers. Everything on it is optional — and the recently played list writes itself from your gig history, so it's current every time someone opens it without you touching it.
Weddings, private parties and corporate bookings never appear on it, and neither do your upcoming dates — where you're playing next is the venue's news to announce. Venue, city and date only: no fees, no clients.
Links
Tracks, EPs and mixes you want a booker to hear. Newest first on the press kit, so the top one is what they play.

Your signature

Draw it once with a finger or a mouse and it is used wherever you sign. This is only how your signature looks. What the record rests on is unchanged: your typed name, the time, and a fingerprint of the exact wording you signed.

Backup

Your gigs live in this browser only (and in your cloud account, if you have one). Save a backup file regularly, and before you clear browser data or switch devices. Loading a backup can merge it with what's already here, or replace it.

Paperwork

The invoice, quote, rider and contract for one gig. Reached from any gig's Paperwork button, so the documents live with the booking they belong to rather than in a list of their own.

Invoice

Print it, save it as a PDF, or send the client a live link. Change the line items, due date, or add a deposit below -- your changes are saved with this gig.
